The removable-foundation molds are filled with concrete and cured. They are ready to be placed, awaiting the post columns.

The posts are of recycled dead palm tree trunks which were sourced in a neighboring island. They are heavier than they appear! And we needed help of all the neighborhood kids to assist in setting it up.

Wood beams are being placed between the palm posts to add structural stiffness to the pavilion. This wood was sourced from the neighboring jungle of Mandinga. We try to minimize the use of foreign material by doing our best in using traditional ways of obtaining them locally.

The beams are set into place, and now waiting for the "penca" (palm leaf) roof top to be installed in the traditional manner of Kunas.
