Rose-throated Becard at the Canopy Lodge!

On November 9, a female Rose-throated Becard, easily identifiable by its cinnamon-colored body and contrasting gray crown, was spotted by Peter and Jane Wolfe at the Canopy Lodge - in great view from the balcony of room #6! This is one of the southernmost records of this Central American species, which typically only ranges into far western Panama near the Costa Rican border. It is a first record for the Canopy Lodge. A great bird to write-in on the checklist!
