Digiscoped through a Leica APO Televid 77 spotting scope
Each morning we will wake
to the sounds and sights of the morning chorus
as we enjoy breakfast and spectacular views from the tower. Then we will
head out in search of the local wildlife.
We will be taking images along the way, but mornings will be primarily spent
viewing and finding the many local bird species. Midday we will retreat to
the tower for lunch and a technical session on digiscoping and imaging techniques while lighting is harsh and wildlife is quiet.
In the afternoons, when lighting improves and wildlife activity increases, we will concentrate on applying our new-found skills in areas that harbor
co-operative photographic subjects.
On the 17th we will shuttle from the Canopy
Tower to the Canopy Lodge approximately 50 miles to the SW. The charming
lodge sits in a lush canyon just above El Valle de Antón.

Leica D-Lux2 Camera
The itinerary here will be much the same except we will
be treated to new birds, wildlife, and scenic marvels. On the 20th we will
work our way back to Panama City
where our fun will finally end.
Canopy Tower veteran wildlife guides will accompany us
on all excursions. Product specialists from Leica Sport Optics will teach
photographic sessions. These will cover all aspects of digiscoping
equipment, photographic field techniques, image post-processing, and image
storage and management techniques.
The pace of the field trips will be relaxed and
enjoyable, and seminars will be delivered in a light, easy style. Having fun
both in the field and in seminars will be our highest
priority!
