To Raúl, Carlos and all the staff
If there is a Paradise and if it is on Earfh, then clearly it is right here at the Canopy Tower.
The natural wonders of the birds, the animals and the forest are overwhelming and a reminder of what is important in life.
There are things we must preserve and Canopy Tower, in that sense, is doing God's work.

On February 5, 2001, a friend of mine called me to say he was coming to have lunch in the Tower with some "friends". Upon arrival he introduced me to his companions, one of whom was named Martha. We proceeded to the Tower, did some birding and later had lunch. Just before the dessert my friend told me, "you know, Raúl, this lady is a very influential woman in the US."
"Oh, yes," I replied, "and what exactly does she do?"
"Well she is on TV, magazines and many other activities. Her name is Martha Stewart."
"Very pleased to meet you," I replied.
The picture shows me giving Martha a copy of my sister Cuquita's cookbook. Cuquita took a course with Martha several years ago in New York. Some people call her "the Martha Stewart of Panama." It is a small world, indeed!
All the meals in the Canopy Tower are from my sister's cookbook, she also has trained the cooks. By the way, Martha enjoyed the meal very much! It was a cold pasta salad with vegetables and chicken and sweet plantain. |

Raúl,
I love your extremely unique lodge deep in the heart of the rainforest!
The simplicity, the elegance, the wonderful food, the delicate mosquito
nets over the beds, the howling of the monkeys, the one of a kind
architecture and your very considerate hospitality have all made this an
experience to always remember.
Thank you so much, Raul and Denise,
Love,

Thank you,

In its smallness it is vast, the whole universe just outside the window. It isn't often that, without the slightest effort on your part, you are launched into
an adventure, a duo of you and nature. I guess I wasn't looking all these years, wasn't
looking at the tender caress of nature. Canopy Tower frees you to surrender to the
surroundings and you take these hours with you - home amid the asphalt - but with
such vast rejuvenating memories. "SHANA TOVA",

From the Canopy Tower - a brilliant new view of the toucans, the trees,
the canal, of Panama. All of it unforgettable. With much gratitude, hasta luego,

I don't know exactly what John Naisbitt, the well known author of Megatrends, was doing in Panama. I think he came to give a lecture. In any event, he came by the Tower with his wife and children and loved the sights and
sounds of the forest. |

Raúl, you have a truly wonderful place. I loved coming here during my stay in Panama; for the solitude and peace of it, for the great food and for your company, always lighthearted.
