On Tuesday November 26, 2002, we had the visit of Prince Albert of Monaco.

Prince Albert impressed me well -- he is lightearted, has a good sense of humor and is very interested in nature.

We birded a little bit and, even though it was 2PM when the sun is very hot, we did see a Black-breasted Puffbird and the ubiquitous Tropical Kingbird.

I remarked that only "mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun" and he quipped correctly, "that's from Noel Coward!"

Prince Albert came to Panama thanks to the connections of my childhood friend Phillipe Von Feigenblatt Rojas who lives in Monaco and Madrid. Phillippe's wife is the present Panamanian Consul in Monaco. He has great connections in Europe and I wouldn't be surprised if one of these days he shows up in the Tower with King Juan Carlos of Spain.

Bring them all, Phillippe, no problema, we'll show them a bird or two.
